SOLO @ the cell: Silvie Jensen
A vocalist of great versatility, Silvie Jensen enjoys a wide-ranging career, which includes early and contemporary music, opera and musical theater, and ethnic, improvised, and experimental music. In a re-imagining of the typical song recital, she will present a show that explores both traditional song repertoire and vocal chamber music. This show will feature songs by Britten, Feldman, Corigliano, Yarmolinsky, and will trace Arnold Schoenberg's journey from romantic classicist to avant-garde modernist. Musicians will include Joao Luiz Rezende Lopes of Brasil Guitar Duo, Djordje Nesic, and Bohdan Hilash.
