A varied cast of characters must each deal with emotional and spiritual challenges in their own way. There is the pious Muslim girl and her Christian lover who abandons her; the remorseful taxi driver, who murdered his daughter and repeatedly tried to commit suicide; the young shoe-shine boy who makes a tragic decision; and the elderly imam losing his sight. Their stories weave together in this thought-provoking film.
