INTERACTIVE PLAY AT YOUR SCHOOL: The Hudson River Flows Both Ways: As the Fable Unfolds (K-3rd grades)
Through a mix of fun conflict, comedy and song, students discover species that depend on the Hudson River and what is required for their survival. The saltwater fish gets tricked by the American eel, who deceives it into starting a new life in freshwater. The salty fish is confronted by a freshwater fish, but by the end recognizes the need to cooperate to protect both kinds of water-and the eggs that each species lays there. After a dramatic storm performed by students, each species discovers that the salt and fresh water can be shared by all.
