SINGLE-SESSION PROGRAM - Up in the Air or Down in the Ground: Urban Invertebrates (K-5th grades)
With interactive games, investigate the life and behavior of honey bees, night crawlers and millipedes, just to mention a few. Not only will students gain knowledge of these urban invertebrates, they will also become aware of the contribution these frequently underappreciated creatures make to our daily lives. After coming to appreciate urban invertebrates, students consider how artists have used found materials and their own vision to interpret and explore these fascinating creatures.
