Holly Near, Benefit evening for EPES, Chile
Teacher, activist, songwriter & singer, Holly Near returns to La Pena for an evening of music and solidarity. Holly's prolific career has been defined by an unwillingness to separate her passion for music from her passion for human dignity,. She'll welcome members of EPES (Educacion Popular en Salud) traveling from Chile.
Holly was in Chile during the 8.8 earthquake/tsunami on Feb. 27, 2010. Although she is on a one-year sabbatical from performing, she will do this event for EPES in solidarity with those still suffering from the aftermath of the earthquake. Proceeds will benefit EPES earthquake/tsunami relief work and community-based health promotion.
