About the Bands:
FANDANGUERO
The foundation of Fandanguero originated from Son Jarocho, a traditional musical style of Veracruz, Mexico is called Sotavento. It represents a fusion of indigenous (primarily Huastecan), Spanish, and African musical elements, reflecting the population which evolved in the region from Spanish colonial times.
AZUL DE NOCHE
Azul de Noche have been playing the blues since 2001. Azul de Noche blends seamlessly the blues and a latin feel with seasoned musicians on harmonica, trumpet, sax, electric guitar, bass, conga and drums. A performance of the band is always a new and different experience, one night a blues harmonica and a latin conga play a call and response, another night an electric guitar and bass steer to a tango, bossa or a boogie all this while social and poetic lyrics filling the room with a passion for the blues. Azul de Noche is of a very unique breed of new emerging musical styles in Chicago. Their selftitled EP was released in 2008 and are expecting a LP in summer 2010.
MALAFACHA
Banda de ska formada en el año 2003 en el barrio de Pilsen. La banda se compone de 9 integrantes, Moy-voz y guitarra, Alex-batería, Ivan-saxofón alto y coros, cheke-bajo, Abad-Trombón, Jorge-Trompeta, Armando-Percusiones, Yorch-Timbales e Izak-guitarra. Las diferentes personalidades y gustos musicales entre los integrantes han llevado a la banda a tener un sonido original, con una base de ska, reggae y ritmos latinos mezclada con punk, metal, hard core, cumbia, rock, disco, funk y una infinidad de géneros que hace Malafacha una de los mejores exponentes de latin ska fusion en Chicago
MALADICTO
Maladicto is an electric cultural sabotage, with politically charged lyrics blended smoothly with a solid rock sound and the Latin Caribbean beats of salsa, cumbia and samba. Maladicto's aggressively and distinctively blend hard rock with Latin roots.

Desicarga is Chicago's very own Spanish rock quartet comprised of 1st generation Mexican-Americans. Their heritage has given them the ability to pull from such diverse sources of music ranging from traditional Mexican sounds and artists like Juan Gabriel, Los Tigres Del Norte, Jaguares and Cafe Tacuba to modern American tunes performed by such artists as The Ramones, Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix.
