Girlvolution 2015
Powerful Voices Presents:
6th Annual Girlvolution Conference
Girlvolution is a 100% youth led event where young women in the Powerful Voices ActiveVistas Employment Program present social justice workshops on issues impacting their lives and communities.
Youth 12 and up and adults of ALL gender identities strongly encouraged to attend! We want and need male and other gender identified allies there and participating. Though Girlvolution is led by those that identify as female, gender justice is not possible without all of us working together.
Come build community through food, and youth-led spoken word, music, art, conversation, and activities. Youth from Y-WE, Youth Speaks Seattle, Splinter Dance Company, and Powerful Choices groups at Asa Mercer and Denny Middle School will perform!
Learn and make connections at our Community Partners Resource Fair where youth serving, social justice organizations come together to provide information and services. 2015 partners include, College Access Now, Radio Active Youth Media, Neighborcare Health, Queer Rock Camp, Teen Link and more!

Time: Breakfast and Check-in start at 9:30 AM
The conference is from 10:00am-4:00pm

Who should come?
Youth (ages 12 and up) and anyone that supports and values youth voice. People of all genders welcome!!
Cost: FREE for youth, Adults $25. No one will be turned away for lack of funds!
Group Discount: If 5 Youth bring an adult, the adult can attend for FREE! Please register for total number of youth and enter the First and Last name of the adult in the Company/Organization field.
Girlvolution is a Powerful Voices Production and is sponsored by Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative, Rainer Vista Boys and Girls Club, Community Health Plan of WA, InfluenceHer, Sheng-Yen Lu Foundation and NW Girls Coalition.
