Dr. Dread: The Half that's Never Been Told
Doctor Dread, aka, Gary Himelfarb, explains how a white, Jewish American became one of the foremost producers in reggae. Dread founded RAS (Real Authentic Sound) Records in 1979 and produced artists such as Freddie McGregor, Melodians, Don Carlos, Michigan & Smiley, Eek-A-Mouse, Black Uhuru and Coxsone Dodd among many others. He'll be joined on stage by David Hinds of Steel Pulse.

Co-presented by Akashic Books and LargeUp, with loving support from Brooklyn Brewery and GoldenKrust.
