Band in Seattle live television taping with Smokey Brights and Julia Massey & the Five Finger Discount
Come participate in the of taping of the television/web program "Band in Seattle" with Smokey Brights and Julia Massey & the Five Finger Discount - Wednesday, April 8th, 2015, sponsored by Naked City Brewing and American Music. Each band will perform a 45 minute concert and participate in an interview program, "Band Talk". Doors open at 6PM at Victory Studios, 2247 15th Avenue West between Queen Anne and Magnolia in Seattle. The show starts at 7PM and ends at approximately 10PM. Admission will include two free beers provided by sponsor Naked City Brewing and soft drinks and snacks.
Smokey Brights: Warm, vintage, pop savvy, yet slightly wry rock music. The kind that streams from the boombox all day at your uncle's barbecue, or crackles through the AM radio on an all night drive through some expansive American highway.

Julia Massey & the Five Finger Discount: There's a delightfully childlike quality to the music of Julia Massey & the Five Finger Discount. Front woman/keyboardist Massey, bassist Geoff B. Gibbs, and drummer Dominic Cortese (The Jesus Rehab) mix piano-driven tunes with more mature lyrics to create music that carefully walks the line between youth and wisdom. For instance, "Nuclear Disarmament" (which will appear on A.L.I.T.E., the band's upcoming fourth full-length, and was recently included onBall of Wax 38) is a protest song built on a marimba-like riff.
