A vocal recital with Gail's Vocals for Kids! precedes the band performance. Gail Dobson, vocals & percussion; Smith Dobson, vibraphone; Masaru Koga, sax, flute, percussion; Patrick Morehead, piano, arranger; Sam Bevan, bass; Josh Jones, drum, & Louie Romero, percussion.
This will be a night of music for the whole family to enjoy. Generations sharing in this amazing experience, on and off the stage! Vocalist Gail Dobson has been one of the Bay Area's leading performers and educators for many years. The Gail Dobson Latin Jazz Septet is a marriage of traditional jazz harmonies with Afro-Cuban and Latin rhythms. Gail's Latin Jazz Septet covers a broad musical and emotional palette including the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Wayne Shorter, Smith Dobson, Kenny Barron, Nat Adderley, and originals by Gail.
