Going Home - A Quartet for Oboe, Violin, Viola and Cello
Double Entendre Music Ensemble will perform the premiere of Martin Bresnick's new quartet, Going Home, for oboe, violin, viola and cello. Christa Robinson will play the oboe with Caleb Burhans on violin, John Pickford Richards on viola, and Brian Snow on cello. The program will also include pieces by members of New York Women Composers, including Wendy Griffiths, Faye-Ellen Silverman, Hilary Tann and Rain Worthington, as well as pieces by Bill Dobbins and John Harbison. This concert is made possible with generous support from Meet The Composer, the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation, New York Women Composers, individual donors, and with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
