(mostly)musicals returns to Fais Do-Do on Wednesday, February 18 with ALMOST Like Being in Love 2 ; the company's 11th production in a series of themed cabarets.

With so many romantic cabarets and concerts happening around Valentine's Day, let's look at love from a less conventional perspective. (m)m will celebrate love that you won't find on a greeting card!.

ALMOST Like Being in Love will feature songs by theatrical heart-throbs like Cole Porter, Kander & Ebb, Harold Arlen, George & Ira Gershwin, Leiber & Stoller, and Ahrens & Flaherty along with hot up-and-coming writers like Sam Carner & Derek Gregor, Drew Fornarola, Joshua H. Cohen, and Michael Finke. Our Whitman's sampler of songs will be performed by a bouquet of talented singers including Shawn Ryan (AMERICA'S GOT TALENT), Neil Taffe (Nat'l tour: SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ, Gladys Knight), Zach Villa (B'way: WAR HORSE), Wendy Rosoff (B'way: 42nd STREET, WHITE CHRISTMAS), Ashley Ruth Jones (Psyche in the world premiere of PSYCHE: A MODERN ROCK OPERA), Alli Miller (Cherry Poppins), Rory and Emily Dunn, Amanda Kruger, Jason Peter Kennedy and Katie DeShan and maybe a few surprises! Music direction is by Gregory Nabours, one of Los Angeles' most loved music directors.
