Priyanjali Dance Presents: NavaRasas for World Peace
Priyanjali Dance will perform on 9/11 to promote World Peace. The dancers will present Bharata Natyam, a classical Indian dance art form, that combines Nritta (pure dance) and Abhinaya (story telling).
In this program, the dancers will showcase colorful pieces to celebrate the art of Bharata Natyam through music, rhythm, and emotion. The main item, "Nava Rasas" or the Nine Emotions, will be presented as a group in which the dancers will depict relatable events through miming and dance drama. Through these Rasas, we can better understand the human condition and promote a tolerance for a peaceful existence.
