THE OTHER NETWORK: MENTAL FLOSS

The Other Network presents TV pilots that were too controversial, too idiosyncratic or just too damn funny for prime-time TV. These fully-produced TV shows were never aired, never before seen and the closest thing to auteur pieces ever made. Each show screens with an exclusive intro from the writers/producers who created them giving unique insights into Hollywood and the creative process.

"Mental Floss"

SICK IN THE HEAD is a brilliant sit-com by Judd Apatow ("Freaks & Geeks", "The Ben Stiller Show", "The 40-Year Old Virgin", "Happy People") featuring David Krumholtz as a psychiatrist on his first day on the job, Kevin Corrigan as his ne-er do well roommate, and SNL's Amy Poehler in an inspired turn as his suicidal patient. Intro by Apatow.

ME & MY NEEDS is an idiosyncratic sit-com by Judy Toll ("Sex and the City") & Cynthia Greenburg ("Less Than Perfect"), starring Nicole Sullivan as 'Judy Toll' which the network made her change to 'Judy' a girl who makes neurosis an art. Intro by Greenburg.

HEATVISION & JACK is an awesome action-comedy written by Rob Schrab ("The Sarah Silverman Program") & Dan Harmon ("Community") and directed by Ben Stiller. It stars Jack Black as a super-intelligent ex-astronaut, Owen Wilson as the voice of his talking motorcycle, and Ron Silver as himself, the villainous actor/NASA enforcer. Intro by Stiller.
