Bach to Gershwin and Beyond: The History of the Piano Trio
The Icicle Creek Piano Trio takes us on a light-hearted trip through this unique musical form, exploring the musical tapestries of Bach, the fire of Haydn's beloved Gypsy Piano Trio, the eerie sounds of Beethoven's famous Ghost Piano Trio (said to be inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth), the symphonic scope of Brahms, Ravel's virtuosity, the jazz-influenced stylings of Gershwinand the innovative sounds of Ives and Higdon.
