Arts Gumbo - The Spirit of Mexico
On Sept. 18 Arts Gumbo presents the Spirit of Mexico featuring Joyas Mestizas, a regional Mexican dance group that exists to promote the awareness, appreciation and understanding of the rich cultures of Mexico and Latin America. In addition to their own performance, the group (which is open to all who have a love for dancing and learning about Mexican heritage) plans to include the audience in some participatory dances. Free samples of Mexican food will also be offered.
