World Cinema Grand Jury Prize winner at Sundance, Return to Homs is the story of Basset, the vocal leader of the residents of Homs, Syria. Starting as a leader of peaceful protests and singing rallying cries he is forced to make choices that seemed unthinkable at the beginning of the film, becoming a war weary soldier determined to fight an unwinnable war or die as a martyr. With cameras on the ground capturing the war first hand, we watch the city crumble over the three years they followed Basset.
