Falko Brocksieper founded the labels Sub Static and Karloff Rekordings, along with MIA. After many years of DJing, Falko's first record was released on Sub Static in 2001, followed by further 12"s on his own label, as well as on Resopal, Treibstoff, Dumb Unit, Tuningspork, Contexterrior, and most recently on Mobilee's sister label, Leena Music. In 2003, he finished his debut album "Hoax Deluxe", which manifested his style between hypnotic minimalism and buzzing, organic analog funk. In 2004, Falko Brocksieper left his longstanding homebase Cologne to refuel with new energy and inspiration in Berlin, which has shown effect in a number of new releases and remixes, including his second album, which was released in 2008 on Sub Static. Falko's two appearances at The Bunker have proven him to be a formidable DJ, and he certainly ranks amongst our favorites. Check out the links to his sets below for further proof of his expertise behind the decks.

Mia, who left her old homebase Cologne in mid-2004 to resettle in Berlin, is neither to be confused with the Grime hype from the UK, nor the popular German rock band. She has been DJing since the mid-90s and has produced a slew oif singles since her Sub Static debut in 2000. Mia's debut album, "Schwarzweiss", was released on Sub Static in 2004. In early 2007, Mia's second album "Bittersuess" (bittersweet) turned out to be her greatest success so far, succeeding more than ever to capture dancefloor techno in a sensitive, enchanted way, transporting a magic that is rarely found in most contemporary productions. After a two year hiatus, Mia and Falko are relaunching Sub Static this year with a new EP from Mia. Mia has a ton of new tracks that will hopefully be seeing the light of day soon. Her live set at The Bunker back in 2008 was a real highlight, and you can hear it on The Bunker Podcast (link below).

25-year-old Kevin McAuley, aka Pangaea, began making music with a two-track mixer, a keyboard and a tape deck as a schoolboy. Discovering dubstep via the sounds of Mala in the backroom of a Leeds club in 2005, Kevin was inspired to found the city's first dubstep night, Ruffage, and launched himself into the studio. Pangaea is now an established DJ/producer and co-owner of Hessle Audio with fellow stalwarts Ramadanman and Ben UFO. Their young label is already the subject of much critical acclaim from discerning dubstep and techno fans and responsible for progressive, landmark releases. His DJ schedule is rapidly picking up pace with consistent bookings across Europe and a burgeoning reputation as a true pioneer behind the decks. He appeared at our Mutek Brooklyn event at Studio B last spring, and had the very techno-centric dancefloor bouncing to the sounds of futuristic bass music. You can hear that set on The Bunker Podcast (link below). We couldn't be happier to invite Kevin back, this time with label partner Ben UFO.

Ben UFO has established himself as one of the most creative DJ's in dubstep, dexterously highlighting the connection between dubstep, grime and UK garage through rapid, blend-oriented mixing. His sets strike a balance between paying tribute to the heritage of London-based dance music whilst simultaneously exploring areas of its potential future, an aim which goes hand in hand with his role as co-founder of the label Hessle Audio. His sets are reknown their ambitiously diverse music policy and for showcasing the freshest forthcoming material. The fact that Ben has become one of the most respected and booked DJs in his genre without releasing any of his own tracks speaks volumes about his skills behind the decks. More than one veteran DJ has personally expressed to us how impressed they were with his sets.

Incyde is a DJ and electronic music producer based in New York City. Striving to create unique and dynamic atmospheres in bass-driven dance music, he draws from the finest dubstep, techno, and experimental beats for his sets. He is a resident DJ at Dub War NYC, which has long been the premier bass music event in NYC for the past 5 years. He also manages the Hotflush Recordings label, is a publicist for Surefire Agency, writes for Big Up Magazine, and hosts a radio show on Sub.FM. Alex's broad taste in so many fine forms of electronic music, paired with the rare ability to bring it all together and make sense of it makes him an ideal Bunker guest, and we're very pleased to finally welcome him into our booth.

Tim Reynolds first joined us at The Bunker back in December as 1/4 of the Fat Camp DJs, who did a great job opening up for Falko Brocksieper. He has two hours to himself this time, to warm up the back room to sounds of future soul, deep house, weird techno, dark drones, and we're not sure what else as Tim has very broad musical interests, and great taste in pretty much everything. Tim will be leaving New York for law school at the end of the summer, so this may be one of your last chances to hear him play for quite some time.
