IOC presents: Goyescas and Concert!

Independent Opera Company continues its 2014-2015 season with Goyescas,by Enrique Granados;(sung in Spanish with English Supertitles). Inspired by paintings of Francisco Goya, Goyescas tells the story of a torrid romance in the brutal and dangerous world that was Madrid in the early 1800s. Goyescas is filled with fiery Spanish music, lush choruses, and breathtaking arias. This 1 hour opera promises to be a very rewarding experience for newcomers and seasoned opera lovers alike. Also in the first half we will present a concert of operatic favorites which also tell stories of "tragic love affairs"! Selections include Carmen, Romeo and Juliet, I Pagliacci, Tosca and more!
