"oh my god, my body, my ears!" 2015 marathon concert
The OME Marathon Concert champions the music of local composers and performers, as well as the music of select established composers. This isn't classical music. Its music written very recently by classically trained composers (many of whom went to ASU) and performed by folks who have either their masters or doctorate in music performance and/or composition.
This come-and-go concert has an outstanding range of music- fixed media (music written on a computer for a specific speaker set-up), works with extended techniques (things you didn't know an instrument could do), and yes, there will still be catchy tunes and dudes with guitars.
