Inspired by Folk Music: Art Songs and Duets
Soprano Karen Ann Baron and mezzo-soprano Sammi Block join forces with pianist Jennifer McCabe for an evening of songs and duets, sure to appeal to both classical music and folk music appreciators. Did you know many of the great composers were greatly inspired by folk music? This program explores this topic through vocal music, and features selections from many different countries: Beethoven, Britten, Copland, de Falla, Dvorak, and more! Special appearances by Louisa Blood (violin) and Sarah Beske (cello).
