Since last year's ZOOTZ REUNION was so much fun and since so many of you (over 200) were not able to get in when it sold out, we all decided that we needed to do this again.
Not only are many of your favorite ZOOTZ DJ's like Dale Charles , Fred Kennedy, and Chris Gauthier returning this year, but ZOOTZ 2010 will expand on last years event with the revival of the beloved Cave Downstairs Chill out Lounge, (later called the Rec Room) , plus phenomenal live video and visuals by VJ FOO, with expanded light show brought to you by Pandemonium and guest turntable set by choreographer, dancer and world, house and funk DJ from Brooklyn, NY, Niles Ford plus other guest.
This all takes place at Port City Music Hall with it's kick-ass sound system, eye-popping new marquee, 3 bars and massive dance floor.
Above all, what made the party so brilliant and amazing last year was seeing all of you the Zootz regulars once again, who along with all the old Zootz staff, truly made the nightclub the special, exciting, crazy, fun, tolerant, exhilarating venue that it was. That was and still is ZOOTZ's magic 20 years later.
Tickets did sell out at the door last year so to be on the safe side buy your tickets in advance.. Doors at 8pm.
Tickets are also available with no service charge (cash or check only. No
credit cards) at The Happy Yogi, located at
548 Congress Street, Portland. A limited supply
of last year's cool ZOOTZ Reunion T-shirts from last year are also available for purchase as well at the Happy Yogi.
Saturday night we will be selling the brand new redesigned
ZOOTZ 2010 t-shirts as well as ZOOTZ buttons and posters so bring
a little extra cash. You can also get a chance to win a free ZOOTZ shirt
by signing the ZOOTZ e-mailing list at the merchandise table.
