Jamie Laval - Champion Fiddler - at Bloedel Reserve
One of the premier Celtic violinists on the international music scene today, Jamie Laval captures audiences with his intensely passionate performances of traditional music of Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and Quebec. His show at Bloedel Reserve will be outdoors in a new venue -- The Sheep Sheds -- at the intersection of two old barns in a tall grass meadow, where the Bloedel family once kept a flock of sheep. In 2002, Jamie won the U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Championship, and has released several CDs. Once a resident of the Northwest, he now keeps up a busy touring schedule from his new home in Asheville, North Carolina.
