LOOKING FOR ERIC, A film by Ken Loach, NR, 117min.
Eric Bishop is slipping through his own fingers. He lives alone with two unruly and disrespectful teenage stepsons one of whom, Ryan, allows a gangster to hide a gun at his dad's house. To make matters even more trying, his daughter (who has a newborn) is trying to convince him to reunite with his estranged wife, Lily. In the face of his crises, Eric turns to a special friend: a poster image of his idol, French footballer Eric Cantona (as himself). The football star materializes and, armed with philosophical life coaching for the seemingly hapless Eric, guides him through the most perilous territory of allthe past.
