One Unique Signal, Desert Mountain Tribe & Children Of Leir
We have another fabulous night of music lined up for you!
Headlining we are delighted to welcome One Unique Signal! Taking a break from being in The Telescopes, they are a superb band in their own right, and we are honoured to have the 5 piece noise/psych/prog rockers to play a trademark incendiary set!
Before them we are chuffed to bits to bring you the mighty Desert Mountain Tribe!
Emerging late in 2012 out of the ever-relevant cultural undergrowth of London town itself, Desert Mountain Tribe is a threefold onslaught of psychedelic rock heart and soul.
The psych-blood flows strong in the veins of founding members Jonty Balls (Guitar/Vocals) and brothers Philipp (Bass) and Felix (Drums) Jahn.
The brothers having cut their teeth side by side throughout their formative years, playing together in a multitude of ensembles from a very young age, these days they constitute one of the more formidable emerging rhythm sections currently active on the United Kingdom's club circuit.
In the short time the band have been active, Desert Mountain Tribe have shared the stage with the likes of Damo Suzuki The Cult of Dom Keller, The Lucid Dream, Wall of Death and The Telescopes.
Their début EP, an effort recorded and committed to tape in the trip-worthy surroundings of Shaken Oak Farm in Oxfordshire and subsequently mastered by none other Brett Orrison of The Black Angels n 2013, and was released digitally and as a limited edition 12" viny in March this year, amassing a wealth of positive notices.
Desert Mountain Tribe's start has proved to be an inter-sensual, mind-bending odyssey. Standout track 'Coming Down' has featured on Reverb Conspiracy's latest compilation offering, a release double-headed by the equally legendary imprints Fuzz Club Records and Austin Psych Fest.
The band will release new material throughout autumn/winter 2014,which will be closely followed by their début album. And have been working on a film score with a multi-media artist. Meanwhile, Desert Mountain Tribe continue to lap the UK with a string of sonic performances and have just embarked on their first headline tour of Europe and Scandinavia culminating in an appearance at Finland's Lost in Music festival as part of the internationally respected Music & Media conference.
Opening the night we have the magnificent Children of Leir!
The Children of Leir are a Leicester-based two-piece consisting of Stuart Gray and Gregg Hunt.
They specialise in playing hypnotic psychedelic trance-like long numbers with strong grooves. motorik-driven, mystical- horror infuenced, psychedelic folk.
They released a self-titled download album called 'The Children of Leir' (which is also available from the band as a CD issue) in 2013, and had a double A side - Black Annis/Children of Leir released at the end of October 2014.
Add a Goodsoul DJ set of the best in psych from new to classic, this will be an incredible night you will not want to miss!
