Magic Carpet Ride featuring Goldy McJohn formerly of Steppenwolf
Through a licensing agreement with Steppenwolf Inc.  "THE MAGIC CARPET RIDE" featuring Goldy McJohn formerly of Steppenwolf (MCR) has been launched to perform Steppenwolf's Greatest Hits, headlined by Steppenwolf's original keyboardist and founding member, Goldy McJohn.

Joining McJohn and his infamous "Hammond B3 organ" on the 2010 tour is a who's who list of music legends, including Glen Bui (recording artist/founding member of Pegasus (Epic) , touring with Waylon Jennings, Eddie Money, and others), Tony Coleman (drummer for BB King), Charlie Souza (Tom Petty, The New Rascals, Cactus, Greg Allman) and MCR's lead singer, Rob "Gator" Kendrick (Kaliber).

STEPPENWOLF launched into music superstardom in the 60's, with one of the band's biggest hits, "Born To Be Wild" gaining worldwide acclaim and millions of fans via the Oscar winning film, "Easy Rider." McJohn and the "Magic Carpet Ride" tour will be taking concert-goers back to those irreverent, passionate and musically groundbreaking days by performing the band's many hits, including "Born to Be Wild," "The Pusher," "Magic Carpet Ride" and numerous other songs which defined those revolutionary times.

McJohn states, "In these times of economic and political confusion and uncertainty, the public is desperately seeking a way to escape their reality, if even just for a few hours.  In the 60's, the music of Steppenwolf defined an entire generation and now 40 years later, the music still has the ability to make a statement on a new world and a new generation.  The "Magic Carpet Ride" tour will be just that  a wild ride back, and a brief escape from a very crazy world!"

Also on the bill will be Hannah Michelle Weeks.

A Western Washington critics' darling, Hannah Michelle Weeks earned the title "The Northwest Sensation" by setting stages afire with not only her unbelievable stage presence but her wise beyond her young 16 years writing ability.
It wasn't long after her humble beginnings as a 12 year old on the local fair circuits that she caught the attention of Nashville's award winning songwriter/producer Tim Johnson.

and from that Hannah Michelle's debut album is here, "Life's a Drama". This CD is filled with "Real music for the reality of our lives". It runs a varied path of emotions; reflection, fun, uplifting, you just can't get enough. Hannah Michelle is a prolific songwriter and wrote on four of the tracks on this release.
She has performed with her band throughout the Pacific Northwest at clubs, concerts, festivals, fairs, sport events, private and corporate events. Featured on numerous radio shows, television and newspaper and has been blessed with many opportunities to open for National Artists including recently Kenney Chesney and Darius Rucker.
The music flows out with passion and energy, her voice brings you to the edge of your seat drawing the audience all the way into her world.

Singing, playing and writing music have always been a natural part of everyday since Hannah Michelle Weeks was very young. She grew up on gospel and country music but her musical love spans from classical to country to rock to rap and everything in between. "I love that lyrics are the heart of country music and that the lyrics can take you anywhere".

Also performing is R.A.F., the band led by Rob ROCKFISH Oxford

R.A.F.'s story is one of friendship that begins in college where Rockfish first met Tom Rosamond. The 2 attempted to put a group together way back then but "some people" (specifically Tommy) felt school work and studying were, at the time, more important than rockin' out! Go figure? Anyway, after graduation Rockfish would find himself following a slightly different musical path, one that landed him at the legendary KISW in 1989. It would be there that he would meet Duke Erickson who was busy promoting the latest Metal Church release. Scott Mills would enter the picture a few years later after submitting a demo of his band Dred Serious that Rockfish would feature on his show Metal Shop from time to time. Several years and several different radio markets later Rockfish would return to Seattle where he not only married the love of his life but recently had the pleasure of joining Spike & The Impalers on stage for a couple shows. Fronting such a powerful group albeit for only a few minutes a night, has motivated him to once again consider fronting his own group. After he told his wife his plans....and she stopped laughing, it only seemed natural to call upon the help of some longtime friends. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Sean Spurgeon has been enlisted to complete the lineup. So expect Rockfish And Friends at your house this Sunday for dinner.
