Shelley Morningsong was the 2007 winner of the Native American Music Award for "Debut Artist of the Year." Of Northern Cheyenne heritage, she has honed her craft working alongside performers such as Charlie Daniels and Juice Newton. Most recently she has been a touring member of Native American Superstar performer Robert Mirabal's group. Her newest album, "Out of the Ashes," is produced by recent Grammy Award winning producer Larry Mitchell. Shelleyâs personal goal is to write and sing songs that will encourage and bring joy to people of all ages and from every walk of life. Shelley is a poet and she writes conscious music with words that speak about human issues of the heart and songs about our environment. She believes that we are all connected, that everything is one thing. Music is the language that speaks to all people and through her music she desires to touch hearts and change lives.
