Considered one of the Masters of Ki ho`alu (slack-key guitar), GRAMMY and multi Na Hoku Hanohano award winning songwriter and slack-key guitarist, John Keawe, has long been respected and revered for his original artistry of beautiful instrumentals and vocals.
Born in Kohala, Hawai'i, where slack-key music originated,Johnâs music is reflective of many
things dear to his heart: his love for
his native Hawai`i Island home, his
ohana (family) and friends, and his
sincere and realistic interpretation of
life in general.
