The Little Traitor
This is a film for the entire family starring Alfred Molina and Theodore Bikel and based on a book by Amos Oz. It is about the relationship between a twelve year old boy, Proffy, in 1947 Palestine and Sgt. Dunlap, an officer serving during the British Mandate, just before Israel's statehood. The boy is violently anti-British, but when he is seized by the authorities, he and Dunlop develop an almost father-son relationship. Called a traitor by his neighbors and community, Proffy's relationship with his "enemy" changes his life forever. *This film will be shown in the Staenberg Family Complex Arts & Education Building.
