Join the Arizona Wilderness Coalition, Tempe Community Action Agency, and McDowell Sonoran Conservancy for the 3rd Annual Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival (WSEFF) featuring FRESH! WSEFF is the largest environmental film festival in North America - designed to inspire, connect, and empower our local communities through film. Enjoy a night of quality environmental films, awesome raffle, silent auction, and a GoLocal! expo featuring local sustainable vendors & organizations. This will be a great event for the whole family! Films will focus on solution-based themes of food sustainability, land conservation and community activism. They include: FRESH, A Simple Question: the Story of STRAW, The Secret Life of Paper, A Year in the Desert: Anza Borrego, Planting Hope: Wangari Maathai & the Green Belt Movement, Brower Youth Awards. 6-10pm...movies start at 6:30. special Pre-festival happy hour at La Bocca urban pizzeria + wine bar from 5-6pm $10, $5 for students and youth under 18 **Consider using alternative modes of transportation to the festival: carpool, bike, Phx Metro bus and lightrail systems, etc. It's healthier for the environment - and your wallet!
