PBIFF: ENCUENTRO (Encounter) (21:20) and 4 other short films.
ENCUENTRO (Encounter) (21:20) A boy and a girl accidentally meet on the street, three years after she broke up with him.///THE FARM (12) Set against the snow-capped mountains of Utah, this is an honest look at the trials of America's housing crisis. Greed, guns, steel and powder shape the history or our industrial advancement into the ever changing western US; and the lives of these four tragic men. Though the uncertainty of our county's economic future is unclear, it is clear that men's blood and lust have sharply defined us to this fine razor's edge we have pushed toward.///JENNY (8) A modern day fable that follows the life of a young girl, who believes that her popularity status at school will increase if she becomes more like her peers who are obsessed with fashion and material goods. The film is tongue in cheek, colorful and cautionary. The film is based around a poem adapted and narrated by Richard O Brien (Rocky Horror Show, Crystal Maze)././/THE FANTASY FACTORY(11:30) Jean was brought up by his father to worship Super X Man, the super hero of sex. He falls in love with Audrey, who spent her childhood reading love-filled fairy tales. The collision of their contrasted upbringings leads them to create the Fantasy Factory, a initiation for their child to the wonders of love and desire.///CURIOUS THING(9) Jared is closeted. Sam is straight. They find a connection in each other that they've never experienced before, but where do they go from there? Using documentary audio as narration for the film, "Curious Thing" crosses many boundaries, both in form and subject.
