One Queer Film Fest
ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives, the world's largest LGBT history collection and the nation's oldest LGBT organization, hosts an afternoon of queer culture on the big screen. Join us as we link our history and our future through an array of stories told through short films. All proceeds will benefit ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives and will help preserve the rich history of our LGBT community. Films include:
Liberation of Griffith Park (1971) / Matt Spero Queers take over Griffith Park for a "Gay-In."
Door Prize (2009) / Zsa Zsa Gershick Public Restrooms are always an adventure for this trans, two-spirit, butch boi lesbian.
Tea Room Scene (1975) / Richard Silverthorn A USC student struggles to accept his homosexuality in the 1970s.
Green Room (2007) / Matt Palazzolo The parallels of queer youth and digital society collide.
Chicks in White Satin (1994) / Elaine Holliman & Jason Schneider Oscar-nominated documentary tells the story of a Jewish lesbian wedding.
El Abuelo (2008) / Dino Dinco Capturing the love of another "vato" with the perfect crease.
Commercials (1980s) / Charles Pierce Laugh your ass off to these satirical TV commercials.
Damelo Todo trailer (2010) / Wu Tsang & Ernesto Foronda The creativity and struggles of Central American transgender women who find refuge in LA's Silver Platter bar.
Queerer Than Thou (2008) / Kalil Cohen & Tera Greene Who is the queerest of them all?
Some of Your Best Friends (1971) / Ken Robinson The rise of the Gay Liberation Front and America's first Pride Parade in Los Angeles.
