Search & Restore presents... Darcy James Argue's Secret Society and Todd Sickafoose's Tiny Resistors
the Manhattan New Music Project and Search & Restore are proud to present two nights with two incredible bands.
Darcy James Argue's Secret Society is a steampunk big band, bringing the twisted orchestral imaginations of Argue to life with a gorgeous group sound and internal rhythmic explosions. The Secret Society references the big band history, but pushes hard and fierce into the future of the big band experience.
Todd Sickafoose's Tiny Resistors combines melodies that have a golden pop shine upon arrangements that invoke stranger indie goodness, rock and roll rhythm aesthetics and pocketed improvisations to bring it all together. Their most recent record features Andrew Bird, and this band is NOT to be missed live.
This is a rare chance to see such powerful forces perform in the same building. Let's make this a celebration of great music and great people!
