BAZA

Experience an evening steeped in true Blues tradition.
BAZA is an acoustic Blues duo from Nashua NH. A personal favorite of Simple Gifts Coffee House, BAZA is Doug Philbrook on resonator guitars and vocals and Geof Goodell on harmonica, guitar and vocal harmonies.
Remaining true to the emotional purity of the early Delta and Piedmont style Blues, they will present the music, stories, and folklore of legendary artists like Robert Johnson, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Pink Anderson and Reverend Gary Davis.
Don't be surprised to hear some original tunes composed by Doug, inspired by the music they love and play so very well.

End 68 Hours of Hunger: a private, not-for-profit, effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday morning.

Patrons attending the Simple Gifts Coffee House performances can now bring their own beer or wine to enjoy at the concerts. Beverages are allowed in the dining room and auditorium only. As always, there will be coffee, tea, and a variety of baked goods available during the intermission.
