"Idoru" by Daria Kaufman and Suki Tawdry
Inspired partly by William Gibson's cyberpunk novel of the same name, Idoru, meaning idol in Japanese, is an evening of intermedia dance performance exploring modern Japanese trend culture as a microcosm of icon obsession. A Tokyo-inspired installation sets the backdrop for a collision of electrified sound, dance, video, and text.
