Songs from the Heart
This concert will definitely make your heart sing! Music from the romantic period forms the centerpiece of the program, including a set of gorgeous songs by Robert Schumann in celebration of his 200th birthday. Works by Fanny Hensel Mendelssohn, Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Scottish composer Hamish MacCuun are also featured.
Azerbaijani soprano Naila Aziz will join us to perform her adaptation of three romantic songs by Tofig Guliyev, performed in Azeri.
To complete the Schumann celebration, pianist Taisiya will perform works by Robert Schumann and Clara Schumann.
