THE 4th 120 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL
The 120 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL was founded in February of 2013 by Artistic Director Scott Haze. He created a platform for aspiring and established filmmakers to make a short film in 5 days (120 hours). Haze selected 5 directors to head up filmmaking teams. Each team selected one logline out of 25 on a Monday at 12 pm, and are off to the races to write, film, edit and turn in a completed film on Saturday at 12 pm.
Following the completion of the films, there will be two screenings (at 6 pm and 8 pm) at The Sherry Theater for friends and community to come check out the movies. A jury of industry elite was assembled to judge the short films, and award the winners at 9:30 pm at the Awards Ceremony. The jury is collection of established producers, agents, and managers, and gives the filmmakers the opportunity to have their work viewed by top industry professionals that the filmmakers may not have been able to show their work to otherwise.
The festival is sponsored by 04 water, and poster done by Jeff Wack.
Overall, the film festivals have been a smashing success, and The Sherry Theater will be continuing to do a festival randomly.
Haze has really inspired a lot of filmmakers, and are granting so many an outlet for their creative endeavors.
