Portland Vocal Consort
Portland Vocal Consort a professional choral ensemble will be presenting a concert showcasing and celebrating contemporary composers of the Northwest. Vocal composers such as Robert Kyr, Morten Lauridsen, Brian Johanson, Joan Szymko, Timothy Stephens, and others will be celebrated. We will also be premiering a new work by the winner of our young composer contest Surrender, by Ethan Gans-Morse of University of Oregon. The Evergreen Dancers will be joining us with original choreography to "Farewell to Wang Wei" a piece by Jack Gabel of Portland that was premiered by Portland Vocal Consort last June. The Broadway Gallery will be showcasing art items of their represented artists from the Longview area. Display and for sale items will be featured. It promises to be a great evening of music, dance, and art of the Pacific Northwest.
