Sara Henya and A Day Without Love (Brian Walker)
About Sara Henya:
Sara Henya is a singer, songwriter, and harpist based in Philadelphia. Her musical style is eclectic; taking inspiration from folk, pop, jazz, and fantasy. Using the harp as her accompanying instrument, she also frequently performs with a drummer, violist, and bassist. This combination of instruments creates an atmospheric sound that transports the listener to another place. Her music explores unique themes and breaks the traditional pop format with intense chord progressions and syncopated rhythms.

Henya grew up in the science-fiction and fantasy community, and her upbringing has influenced her music greatly. From her chosen instrument of the harp, to her ethereal sound, to her many tattoos, her music can't help but be different from what youve heard before.

After performing extensively in and around Philadelphia at venues like The Grape Room, The Barbary, and Sprout Music Collective, Henya released her debut EP entitled "Small World Alchemy" last year. The EP has received widespread radio play on folk and alternative programs such as Out of the Woods, Power Folk, Womenspace, and Radio 104.5's Live at 5. Henya has been embraced by both mainstream and niche audiences. As well as touring music venues around the east coast, she's created a following at science fiction conventions such as Balticon and Arisia.

About A Day Without Love (Brian Walker):
Brian Walker is the singer-songwriter A Day Without Love. Walker started it as a solo act during his college years, and the music took on the shape of a full band when Walker collaborated with Philadelphia producer Jake Detwiler in 2013. The resulting debut EP, "Island," was a sharp contrast from the mellow acoustic musings that Walker had leaned on in the past; it was aggressive, grungy, and energetic.

Since then, A Day Without Love has seen a rotating cast of musicians surrounding Walker for a handful of short releases: "Confessions of the Innocent Mind" (2014), "A Day Without Oscar" split EP (2014), "Songs for the Lonely" (2015), and "Young Professionals" (2015).
In 2015 and 2016 A Day Without Love played SXSW, signed to Sounds and Tones Records. ADWL has since released "Solace" (2016) and "Diary" (2018).

A Day Without Love has toured the northeast and southern US. After participating in a crowd-funded fundraiser for Erika's Lighthouse, ADWL has advocated for mental health awareness at shows. After releasing "Diary" ADWL received reviews from Post Trash, Boston Hassle and AfroPunk. This year ADWL will embark on a series of collaborations with various songwriters and bands and creating a travel documentary.
