Having recently completed his 4-continent tour, internationally acclaimed cellist, vocalist and composer Ian Maksin is back for another touch-and-go in his current hometown Chicago. For this performance at one of Chicago's premiere jazz venues, the Jazz Showcase, Maksin will be joined by his long time colleague and collaborator, Romanian guitarist Gabriel Datcu.

The eclectic program will consist of jazz and Latin classics by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Chick Corea, Tom Jobim, original music by Ian Maksin from his latest album Zaria, as well as his own arrangements of traditional music from different corners of the world and funky R&B covers with the cello taking the lead.
