Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Céilí Dance
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day early at the Celtic Academy of Irish Dance's Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Céilí Dance on September 20, 2014. The event includes traditional Irish fare, Irish Céilí dancing led by Éamonn de Cógáin, and live music by The Roving Rogues. Dancers and non-dancers alike will be led through their steps by Céilí Caller Éamonn de Cógáin, a native of County Cork, Ireland. "If you can walk, I'll teach you how to dance even if you have two left legs," says de Cógáin, who has called Céilís at the United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival since 2012. Céilí-goers will enjoy the music of Cincinnati-based The Roving Rogues, performing traditional Irish music.
The Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Céilí will be held at the Polish Club (1470 Valley St., Dayton OH). Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
