KPIG 94.9 "SUMMER KICKOFF" with MOONALICE
KPIG 94oink9 is kicking off the summer with a SUMMER KICKOFF party with Moonalice in San Luis Obispo on Saturday June 28th at the SLO Grange Hall.
Once again KPIG DJ Laurie Roberts (Mid-day 10a-3p) will be your host and the MC to KICKOFF the SUMMER of 2014 (45 year anniversary of 1969) with a groovy good time with Moonalice.

Who is Moonalice?
Moonalice is a band of seasoned musicians who feel that live music should be a communal experience where the listener and musicians feed and derive inspiration from each other. Their songs try to speak to everyone, mixing a variety of genres with extended musical improvisations that evoke a sense of adventure and exploration.

What is KPIG?
We're an anachronism - a throwback to the days when real DJs picked out the music, and listeners expected something more from a radio station than just a couple of hundred songs repeated over and over, with some "big voice" guy yelling about how great it all is. We're also - to the amazement of all of the radio "professionals" who make the rules we thumb our noses at - very successful, though we try not to let it go to our heads. More info at www.KPIG.com
