Fanna Fi Allah Seattle Concert With Gina Sala Opening !
Fanna-Fi-Allahs passionately devotional music is a leading representation of Sufi Qawwali music worldwide. With their rich rhythmic grooves, soaring vocal melodies and the bright intensity of their live performances, Fanna-Fi-Allah urges us to lift our hearts in exaltation and devotion to the Divine.Fanna-Fi-Allah embodies an authentic continuation of the ancient tradition of Sufi music. Key members of the group have spent over 20 years in dedicated study with the masters of this classical art-form in Pakistan and India and are deeply respected throughout the subcontinent.During their 13 years of world-wide touring in places as diverse as the USA, Pakistan, Europe, Indonesia, India and Egypt, they have captivated audiences with their dynamic passion and skill, and continue to deepen the appreciation for this great Sufi tradition in the West.They have been blessed to play qawwali at the beloved tombs of Data Ganj Baksh (Lahore), Baba Ganj-e-Shakar (Pak Pattan), Baba Bulleh Shah (Kasoor), Baba Lasuri Shah (Faislabad) and in India at the tombs of Khwaje Nizzam-Ud-Deen Aulia, Hazrat Amir Khusrau, Pir Inayat Khan (Delhi), Khwaje Mueen-Ud-Deen Chishty (Ajmer).
Gina Salá is a vocalist, composer, teacher and kirtan leader with a repertoire spanning 23 languages. She has been chanting since her early childhood ashram years, and has deepened her practices in extended time living in the Himalayas, a Buddhist monastery and in India with her teachers in sanskrit, mantra, sound tantra and classical Indian singing, especially with Pt Ritwik Sanyal in the dagarvani dhrupad tradition. Gina Salás performance credits include the UN, Cirque du Soleil and more. With devotion to the Magnificence in all, she leads retreats and workshops internationally, including her annual River of Sound Tours to India. Gina Salá also offers private sessions in freeing the voice, Sanskrit and sound for wellness. Her passion is singing us awake to Who we are.
