Estonian classical guitarist Oskar Saks and concert pianist Jerimiah Owens bring you a night of Flamenco, Classical and Romantic piano and guitar music. These collaborative musicians have prepared some of the most beautiful works from Francisco Tárrega, Roland Dyens, Juan Serrano, Piero Umiliani, Frederic Chopin, and Claude Debussy in this captivating and dynamic program. This is an evening you will not want to miss!

ARTIST BIOS:

Oskar Saks is an Estonian classical guitarist who moved to the states in 2005. He has performed along side Jerimiah Owens, Anton Smirnov, Jacob McKibben, and many other great Denver artists. He currently plays lead guitar in a Denver swing band. He is also a vocalist, a dancer, an athlete, and a Sergeant in the Colorado Army National Guard. His main focus in guitar music is classical and flamenco styles but also plays many other genres. In 2014 he played several home concerts in Wheatridge and Littleton and he is excited about bringing music into more intimate home concerts.

Concert pianist Jerimiah Owens has gained much renown in the communites of Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Jerimiah Owens was born into a family of musicians and began performing at age 5. In addition to performing at such venues as Schmitt Hall, Onofrio Hall, Trinity Church, DSA Concert Hall, The Broadmoor Hotel, and Lamont School of Music, Mr. Owens has performed in masterclasses with Olga Kern, Andrew Cooperstock and William Goldstein. He has studied with Artur Stoyanov, former faculty member of Moscow State Conservatory and currently studies with Angelina Gadeliya, graduate of The Juilliard School , and member of "Decoda " ensemble, an affiliate of Carnegie Hall. Coming from a family of both professional and amateur singers, Owens began performing in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma!, Annie, Guys and Dolls, The King and I, and Fiddler on the Roof . Jerimiah joined the a capella group Vocality Singers in 2014 and is currently the accompanist for Opera Theater of the Rockies. His former voice teachers include Dana Vachharajani, graduate of The Juilliard School and Cody Qualls of "FACE " vocal band. Jerimiah graduated from Denver School of the Arts with a focus in piano performance and a minor in operatic and jazz vocal performance. He teaches voice and piano in his music studios in Lakewood and Colorado Springs, Colorado. In the summer of 2013, Jerimiah Owens made his conducting debut with the orchestra of Expositions Theatrical Arts Company in Denver in their production of "CARRIE: The Musical". After a sold out run, he was invited back the following year to conduct the orchestra in the company's summer production of the Broadway hit "CHICAGO" . Jerimiah has performed most recently as a jazz singer in one of New York City's oldest speakeasy jazz clubs "The Backroom " with Svetlana and the Delancey 5 and sings in Denver locales with his band Jerimiah and the Glad Rags. He will perform several concerts in San Francisco, NYC and Colorado in 2016.
