World Music Celebration with Gina Salá: A Benefit for Project Ethiopia
Co-Sponsored by Amazing Grace Spiritual Center and Gina Salá

Join Global Vocalist Gina Salá and her wonderful band as she brings a celebration world music and chants in support of Project Ethiopia. Gina brings us her gifts of music from all over the world this evening sharing her passion for music that represents many difference cultures and in support of this project. The proceeds from this benefit will support the work being done by Project Ethiopia

Awoke Genetu and Workineh Genetu from Ethiopia will be at the concert as special guests.

Gina Salá is a singer, composer, teacher and kirtan leader with a repertoire spanning 23 languages and a passion for helping connect us across boundaries through song. She began chanting from the age of 3 living in a Swami Sivananda Radha's ashram and deepened her practices wandering the Himalayas, a buddhist monastery and in ongoing study with her Sanskrit, tantra, and classical singing teachers in India. Gina's engaging personality, voice and wealth of experiences have led her from Himalayan huts to programs at the United Nations, festivals and as lead singer for Cirque du Soleil. She offers retreats, workshops and kirtans and sound tours internationally, private sessions in harmonium, sanskrit mantra, and voice via skype. With gratitude, humor and devotion, her passion is helping us to sing ourselves awake to the One in all

Project Ethiopia This innovative project creates motivation, hope, and self-empowerment in the villagers, previously overwhelmed by their circumstances. It is remarkable what has been achieved with relatively little. Potential for future achievement is great, since the village "infrastructure for change" is in place. This infrastructure consists of all the villagers who have been organized by Workineh and Awoke and now trained as cement masons, stone splitters, builders, metal workers, tailors, cart drivers, etc.
