Founded by Pablo Rodriguez, father to 4 of the band members, Mariachi Tleyotltzin ("little hearts of fire"), was formed to keep the Mexican culture vibrant and to provide role models for the younger generations. They have performed locally at the Nampa Civic Center, as well as at "Picnic with the Pops" with the Boise Philharmonic.
Amuma Says No represents the heart and soul of Basque music in America today. The band brings together the best of traditional trikitixaa duo of accordion and tambourinewith a modern rhythm section and songs sung in Euskara. Based in Boise, home of the largest community of Basques outside their home provinces along the French and Spanish Pyrenees, Amuma Says No's sound is energetic, exciting, contemporary and uniquely Basque.
