Three Caves Concert Series - Muscle Shoals Revue featuring The Swampers
Redstone Federal Credit Union proudly presents the 10th Annual "Three Caves Concert Series."
The second concert in the 2015 series is sponsored by FirstBank, and brings musical history to Three Caves! The Swampers**, best known for crafting the "Muscle Shoals Sound" and recently featured in the documentary Muscle Shoals, will be jamming the night away with other well-known Muscle Shoals studio musicians on (gold and platinum) hits that made the 'Shoals sound famous.

**One verse of the Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Sweet Home Alabama" includes the line "Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers/And they've been known to pick a song or two."
"The Swampers" referred to in the lyrics are the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. These musicians, who crafted the "Muscle Shoals Sound," were inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 1995 and into the Musician's Hall Of Fame in 2008. The nickname "The Swampers" was given to the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section by producer Denny Cordell during a recording session by singer/songwriter Leon Russell, in reference to their 'swampy' sound.
