50th Year of Free Speech, 20th Year of BCM
Berkeley Community Media is proud to announce this celebration of 50 years since the beginning of the Free Speech Movement and 20 years since the opening of Berkeley Community Media; the only truly Free Speech media conduit for the East Bay. There will be food from a wide variety of Berkeley restaurants, music, theatrical performances, spoken word and interviews with the people who were there from the beginning of both the Free Speech Movement and BCM. There will also be a raffle for some fabulous prizes as well. This event will also help Berkeley Community Media purchase new equipment to help our members express their creativity and spread their message to the world.
Berkeley Community Media is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing and electronic Free Speech forum to it's members. BCM also operates channels 28 and 33 on Comcast Cable within the Berkeley city limits, on Channel 99 on AT&T U-Verse throughout the Bay Area and streaming live at www.bcmtv.org.
