AMOR! AMOR! is a show that expresses the beauty and romance of love; the vulnerability and cultural contrasts of being Latino and American, queer and Latino, undocumented and natural born members of our Latino community.
Performers are Miracle Theater veterans Nurys Herrera and Sofia May-Cuxim with musicians Edgar Baltazar and Joaquin Lopez. This year features the personal stories of youth activist Jaime Guzman from Oregon Dream Activist and single lesbian mother Margarita Rivas.
VOZ ALTA is an evening of music and poetry that celebrates the Latino American experience through poetic narratives that feature the lives of Portland's Latino LGBTQ community, performed by actors and orchestrated live with Latin American folk songs.
Voz Alta is funded in part by the Multnomah County Cultural Coalition and the Oregon Cultural Trust.
