Balkan Shout Out

The "Balkan Shout Out" is a fundraising event to benefit the EEFC (East European Folklife Center). The EEFC has been a home to Balkan music, dance and culture in the United States for over 25 years. The Balkan Shout Out, has been conceived to do just that: give a shout of thanks out to those who have helped nurture New York's thriving Balkan cultural community.

This year we will be featuring the amazing music of PITCHBLAK BRASS BAND. A Brooklyn based 10 piece Brass ensemble that will make you smile and dance until the end of the night with its unparalleled energy.

TIPSY OXCART is our newest favorite NY Balkan band! They will play for us both original compositions and grooving new arrangements of upbeat urban dance music from South Eastern Europe.

The wonderful quartet SHERITA will start the evening with their brand new repertoire of acoustic music from Macedonia, Turkey, Greece, Albania and the Middle East.

This will be an unforgettable night as we will celebrate our 5th anniversary!
